My Favorite Quilt
I don't know why this is my favorite quilt . . maybe the colors . . but I love it. It kinda has a story. About six years ago, this quilt was in Quilts magazine. Several in our local group decided to make it. I quilted several of them for others but never quilted my own. I had thought about hand quilting it but figured that would never happen. When I got the Baptist Fan template, that seemed like a great design to use on this quilt. A funny thing . . this quilt was designed by Michelle Wyman but I did not know her at the time I made the quilt. She later purchased a longarm machine and is in one of my longarm groups and somewhere along the way, I put her name with the pattern designer and it was neat to get to know her. Here's the back. I used a white on white backing, Hobbs 100% cotton Heirloom batting so this is a very soft, snuggly quilt. I will use it on our bed during the summer. Now . . to get the binding finished bfore summer! :) Judy

I can see why this would be your favorite quilt. It's so bright and cheery. The quilting looks very nice. Good luck getting the binding finished. I'm off to do some binding myself...just a couple more feet to go!

I can see why you love this quilt. I love it too with the fabulous colours and I love the quilting design. I'm going to have to try the Baptist Fan pattern myself.
Thanks for the inspiration.

The quilt looks great and I love the Baptist Fans.
I met a Michelle Wyman a couple years ago from the longarm list. I wonder is she's the same Michelle who designed your pattern.

Oh, it is wonderful - I love the "tropical water" colored border - definately says SUMMER to me - or maybe even a winter pick-me-up.
Baptist Fan looks so perfect on so many different designs.
Cheers!

Every time I see the Baptist Fan on a quilt I like it even more. What a colorful, cheery quilt. It's one of those quilts that just makes you smile when you see it. Get it bound soon - looks like a great quilt to brighten up winter days.
