Make it 38

Guess which two quilts I forgot! The one on the left was already done but the two on the right were almost the last two I finished. These were for the "Do You EQ? Contest". To answer some of your questions, yes, I do have a longarm and I love it! I have a husband who travels a lot and an 18 year old son who only needs mom for food and clean clothes so I have lots of time on my hands. Think how much I could get done if someone would take away my computer! :) Judy L.

  • Meant to comment on the sleep part of the last post. Hormones seem to be keeping my up later than normal. I like to go to bed at 10 and get up around 5 ish. I LOVE my sleep, but lately I stay up later, hit the hay around 1 and get up at 8 if possible, usually its earlier though.
The computer takes LOTS and LOTS of my time.

  • yes Judy you would get more done without the computer - but firstly how would you use your EQ5 and secondly - you'd miss us all :o)

  • I have never bought a kit, I have been tempted, but never have. I think I must deep down like the stress I endure over picking colors. LOL! Seriously, sometimes I think I lack the vision in seeing the potential in some fabric. A quilter friend of mine bought the most hideous fabric I ever saw (at least I thought). The next month, she showed me her quilt and I loved it. I think I tend to be TOO monochromatic. I have a hard time picking fabrics "outside of the box".

  • I love the end of a full day and my routine of getting ready for bed and then falling asleep.....I usually wake up at the same time each day recharged and ready for a new day. Sometimes I wish that I could use my sleeping and food prep/clean up time for other tasks but without food or sleep.....
Anyways as far as kits go...I've been quilting for almost 20 years (some off and on) but this year in Jan. I decided I would join a kit of the month club. I have a longarm machine quilting business and sometimes I just want to sit and piece/ or just cut and I enjoy the process without having to choose the fabric (sometimes I change the pattern or size, I like the freedom that the extra fabric in the kits give me). I'll probably just sell the quilts though my daughters keep laying claim. I think kits have their place but my favorite quilts are still my stash quilts.
